Probate is a legal process that wraps up the affairs of an estate after a person has died. It includes paying debts, filing tax returns, and distributing property and other assets. Depending upon whether an estate plan is in place and the types of assets to be distributed, however, full probate may not be necessary.
As your Florida probate lawyer, my role is to help you move through the probate process as quickly and accurately as possible. If you are responsible for probating an estate in the Florida Panhandle, contact my law office in Pensacola for a free initial consultation.
I assist clients with Florida estates of all sizes, from simple summary probate administration to transfer a property deed to probating million-dollar estates. I work with clients in Florida as well as clients who live in other states who need to probate an estate in the Florida Panhandle.
I can evaluate the estate and advise you on whether full probate is necessary, or whether there are other ways to distribute the assets and pay the estate's debts, if any.
I can provide as little or as much assistance as you need. If you are an executor or administrator, I can provide advice and guidance to help you meet all the legal requirements of probate in Florida. For executors or personal representatives located out of state, I can handle virtually everything, from the sale of real estate in Florida to the preparation and filing of taxes and the distribution of assets.
As an attorney with extensive trial experience, I have been called upon to assist clients—both estate beneficiaries and executors—in bringing claims to court when mismanagement, negligence, or wrongdoing is suspected. If you wish to contest a will, to challenge the management of a trust, or to question the proper handling of an estate during probate, I can take your case to court.
